UPDATE: May 4th was our Grandmother's birthday, and we finally gave her the surprise. All of the wonderful comments given to her about her artwork made her incredibly happy, and she couldn't stop smiling. I want to thank everyone that commented, visited the gallery, faved art, or added this account to their watch list. Everything helped make the day for my grandmother really special.

Since and I were up in Spartanburg for this past week, we managed to get more photographs of her works, so we'll be submitting them to the gallery. Thank you again to all that participated in the birthday surprise!

For years, I have always admired my grandmother's beautiful paintings, particularly her oil ones. However, she never seemed to think that she was particularly talented. Even when our AP Art teacher said that she loved her work, my grandma replied saying "I'm so embarrased. Are they that good?"

For her birthday, which is in May, I will be posting all of her paintings (at least, all of the ones in our house) on deviantart. Everyone, please post comments on her work. On her birthday, in 2008, we will show her this page and all of the comments you guys posted. I hope that you enjoy the gallery too!
